Dubai Fountain show times and the Lake Ride: what the venue lists and what our ticket says

5 min read

The Dubai Mall's own page lists fountain shows on Saturday to Thursday at 13:00 and 13:30, on Friday at 14:00 and 14:30, and every 30 minutes from 18:00 to 23:00 each evening. A separate ticket site sells the Lake Ride, an abra on Burj Lake, at AED 75 a person for ages 3 and over, in slots 30 minutes apart. This guide sets those pages beside our one listing, including where they differ: the last start time, the ride length and the cancellation rule.

Show times

The Dubai Mall's page for the fountain lists afternoon shows on Saturday to Thursday at 13:00 and 13:30 and on Friday at 14:00 and 14:30. It lists evening shows daily, every 30 minutes from 18:00 to 23:00.

Visit Dubai gives the evenings as every 30 minutes from 18:00 to 23:00 and adds that afternoon shows are available for limited times. The two agree on the evenings.

The mall places the fountain on the Lower Ground Floor, with parking P1 (Cinema Parking). Its page lists no ticket price for watching the show.

The Lake Ride: slots and price

On the ticket site, read for Friday 6 November 2026, the ride had 11 start times, from 17:45 to 22:45, every 30 minutes, and showed AED 75 at every one. Its step names one visitor line, 3+ years, at AED 75 a person.

The ticket list gives the ride's place as near the Dubai Fountain and its hours as 17:45 to 22:45, which matches the last slot on the step. It lists the ticket as entry to the abra boat ride, the fountain show and views of Burj Khalifa.

The Boardwalk beside it

The same ticket site sells a Dubai Fountain Boardwalk ticket at AED 25 a person: a 272-metre floating platform on Burj Lake, with the show. Its step shows the same 11 start times on 6 November 2026. We do not sell it.

Its terms say children under 3 are not allowed, while its booking step's visitor line reads 4 and over. A three-year-old falls between the two, and we cannot say which the gate follows.

Rules on the ride

The ride's terms say tickets are valid only for the date and time shown and ask you to arrive on time. No outside food or drink is allowed. Large bags, strollers, sharp items and electronics must be kept at the dedicated counter.

Children under 3 enter free. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian, and child tickets cannot be bought on their own: they need an adult ticket alongside. The terms add that Emaar is not responsible for weather and storms that affect visibility.

Cancelling

The ride's own terms say nothing about cancelling or refunds. The ticket site's general terms say you may be prevented from cancelling or changing an online ticket purchase once its confirmation is issued.

Our listing offers free cancellation up to 1 day before the experience, with a full refund a day or more ahead and none inside a day. The site's terms and our listing say different things, and this guide cannot say which a gate would follow.

Where our listing differs

Our listing shows start times from 17:45 to 21:45, so it has a last start at 21:45. The ticket step showed one more slot, 22:45, on 6 November 2026, the one date we read. We cannot say which the boat follows.

Our listing says the ride lasts about 15 minutes and is timed to a show. The venue's ticket site names no ride length, so the 15 minutes is ours alone.

Our listing asks you to reach the boarding point at least 15 minutes before your slot, and says there is no wheelchair access and that life jackets are provided. The venue's terms ask only that you arrive on time and say nothing on the other two.

Our price is from AED 75 a person, the same as the venue's AED 75 for ages 3 and over. Our listing's children counter is for ages 3 to 11.

Dubai Fountain Lake Ride Ticket

The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain system, set on the 30-acre Burj Lake at the foot of the Burj Khalifa: 6,600 lights, 25 colour projectors, and jets that throw water high above the water line, shooting to classical, Arabic and contemporary tracks. Most people watch it from the promenade. This ticket puts you on the lake instead, aboard a traditional wooden abra that carries you out onto the water while the show runs around you - close enough to feel the spray, with the Burj Khalifa directly overhead and the fountain arcing above the boat rather than in front of it. The ride lasts around fifteen minutes and is timed to a performance, so you are on the water for a full show rather than catching the end of one. Shows run through the evening. It is the best view of the fountain available at any price, and it works well as something to add to a Downtown evening rather than as a trip in its own right. You will catch some spray; that is part of it.
