Dubai Ice Rink tickets: our Entry Pass and Entrance Ticket compared

5 min read

Dubai Ice Rink is one rink, on the Ground Floor of The Dubai Mall, and we list two tickets to it. On the rink's own site a 90-minute session costs AED 130 by day and AED 150 in the evening, with skates and socks included. Our Entrance Ticket and our Entry Pass differ in listed length, start times, price and cancellation; this guide sets both against what the rink itself says.

Where it is, and when it is open

The rink is on the Ground Floor of The Dubai Mall, between the waterfall atrium and the souk. By car, the mall's page and the rink's both say to follow the signs to Cinema Parking, level P3.

The rink's own page gives Monday to Sunday 10:00 to 23:45, and its sessions run to 23:45 every day. The mall's page for the rink says Sunday to Thursday 10:00 to 22:00 and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to midnight. The two first-party pages disagree, so check the day you go.

One rink, two listings

The Dubai Mall Ice Rink Entrance Ticket lists 90 minutes, five start times (10:00, 11:45, 13:30, 15:15 and 17:00), an Adult and a Child price (ages 3 to 11) and free cancellation up to 1 day before. At checkout its first three slots are named Day Admission and the last two Evening Admission.

The Dubai Ice Rink Entry Pass lists 45 minutes, three start times (10:00, 11:45 and 13:30), a minimum age of 3, one fare for everyone, and is non-refundable once confirmed. Its checkout step names no session.

Both pages say skate hire is included, which matches the rink's FAQ: skates and socks are part of the admission fee. On 4 November 2026 the Entrance Ticket is listed below the rink's day fare and the Entry Pass above its evening fare; the cards above carry the current figures.

The Entry Pass lists 45 minutes, while the rink says each session entitles a skater to a full 90 minutes. The three times it starts at are the rink's day sessions. We cannot tell from either page which length the Pass gives, so message our team on WhatsApp before booking it if the length matters to you.

Cancelling

The rink's FAQ says its tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, and asks you to be sure of your date and time before booking. Our Entrance Ticket is free to cancel up to 1 day before; our Entry Pass is non-refundable once confirmed.

Height, clothing and who can skate

The rink sets limits by height, not age. Children from 100 cm up to 120 cm must be accompanied by an adult, and children of 120 cm and above may skate alone. For children under 100 cm its FAQ says they are not allowed to skate, while its booking page says they must be accompanied by an adult at all times; the pages disagree, so ask the rink before you go. Our listings add age bands, ages 3 to 11 for the Entrance Ticket's child price and a minimum age of 3 for the Entry Pass.

The rink asks skaters to cover arms and legs, and does not allow long dresses, national dress or any trailing clothing on the ice. Hats, gloves and scarves are allowed. Lockers are available.

Add-ons and spectators

The rink lists a helmet at AED 15, gloves at AED 10, a penguin, snowman or seal skating aid at AED 45 each, and VIP hockey or figure skates at AED 45 each. Blade sharpening starts at AED 40 a pair. One spectator per group is free; any other spectator pays AED 10.

Skating more than once

The rink's offers page lists a Day Pass at AED 299 for full-day access to all sessions, and U by Emaar Signature Pass discounts of 50% (Diamond), 40% (Platinum) and 30% (Gold) off any skating session. We sell neither.

Dubai Mall Ice Rink Entrance Ticket

Dubai Ice Rink sits on the ground floor of The Dubai Mall, an Olympic-sized sheet of ice in the middle of one of the busiest shopping centres in the world. It is open to all abilities: the general session is a straightforward public skate, and skate hire is included, so you can arrive with nothing and be on the ice in a few minutes. Beginners can hold the barrier or hire a support aid, and instructors are on hand for anyone who wants a lesson rather than a lap. The rink runs themed sessions through the week - disco skating under lights, synchronised skating displays, and ice hockey when the local teams are playing - and it is a popular choice for birthdays and group outings. Sessions are timed, so check your slot before you arrive. Wear or bring thick socks, which make hired boots far more comfortable, and gloves are strongly recommended: the ice is cold and, on a first visit, you will probably meet it. The rink is fully enclosed and air-conditioned.
