Which Burj Khalifa ticket should you buy? At the Top vs SKY vs The Lounge

Choose Silver if the view is what you came for. You can stay on Levels 124 and 125 as long as you like, and most visits take about an hour and a half.

Choose Gold for the highest deck, 555 m up, with fast-track queues, a guide and refreshments in the SKY lounge. Your time on Level 148 is limited to 30 minutes, after which you carry on to Levels 124 and 125.

Platinum adds The Lounge on Levels 152 to 154, 585 m up, which holds the Guinness World Record as the world's highest lounge, with canapés from the Armani Hotel. Holidayys does not sell this ticket.

There is no sunset ticket. At the Top's own advice is to book Level 124 for about 120 minutes before sunset, so you are up in time to watch it.

Prams, large bags, electronics and sharp items have to be left at the counter before you go up. Handbags and purses are fine.

The whole At the Top experience is wheelchair accessible. Working service animals are not allowed.

At the Top says the visit is suitable for expectant mothers. The virtual reality experience costs extra and is for ages 10 and over.

Go in from the lower ground floor of The Dubai Mall, through the gate near the Burj Khalifa lift. The nearest Metro stop is Burj Khalifa station on the Red Line, and drivers park in the mall's Fashion Avenue car park.

The decks are open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day. Arrive well before your time slot, because the busiest times bring queues.

Outside food and drink are not allowed, and the dress code is smart casual. In bad weather the outdoor terrace can close, and tickets are not refunded because of the weather.
