XLine Dubai Marina: what the zipline costs, and who can ride

6 min read

XLine's own site prices its Dubai Marina zipline at AED 699 for riders aged 17 and over and AED 499 for young adventurers aged 12 to 16, with rides from 10:00 to 12:20 and from 14:00 to 17:00. The ride is a 1 km descent from a platform 170 m above the ground, lying belly-down in a harness, at up to 80 km/h. This guide sets out the two fares, who may ride, what to bring, and where the booth is.

What the ride is

The zipline starts from a take-off platform 170 m above ground level and runs 1 km along the Dubai Marina waterfront, at up to 80 km/h. XLine uses Superman harnesses, so you ride belly-down. Only riders are allowed onto the shuttle bus and the take-off platform.

A camera is attached to your helmet throughout, and photos and a personalised video are sent to the email you registered with. You may use your phone or camera right up to the take-off platform, but not during the ride itself. Smart glasses and camera-enabled eyewear are not allowed.

What it costs, and what the headline does not say

XLine's own site prices one ride at AED 699 for riders aged 17 and over and AED 499 for young adventurers aged 12 to 16. Its ticket channel shows the same two fares once you have chosen a date and a time, under the names "Go Ziplining" and "Go Ziplining - Junior (Aged 12 to 16)".

Be careful with the channel's headline. Its first page reads "From 499 AED", which is the young adventurer fare and not the adult one. The two categories are named only at the quantity step, after you have picked a date and a time.

The 360 degree video is AED 150 extra on XLine's page; we did not reach the channel's extras step, so we cannot say what else it offers. We looked for a student, senior or resident rate on XLine's page, its FAQ and its channel and found none. Its page still shows a buy-one-get-one summer offer for UAE residents dated 25 June to 30 September 2025, which has ended.

Who can ride

Riders must be 12 to 65 years old, at least 130 cm tall, and weigh between 45 kg and 100 kg, and must sign a waiver before riding. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian to give consent in person. For the young adventurer fare, the name on the ID must match the rider, and without ID you may have to pay the difference for the adult ticket.

XLine does not allow riders who are pregnant, who are not in good medical condition, who have an injury or condition needing immediate medical attention, or who are under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or any medication that may impair judgement.

Wear comfortable, modest clothing and closed shoes; skirts, dresses and flip-flops are not permitted. Lockers hold small items such as handbags, wallets, keys and phones, but locker space is limited, so leave luggage and shopping bags at your hotel or home.

Hours, slots and how long it takes

XLine says it is open every day from 10:00 to 12:20 and from 14:00 to 17:00, with 10-minute intervals. Timings can change with the season, weather and public holidays, and any closure is announced on its Instagram and Facebook.

Its ticket channel does not match the 10-minute figure. For 9 November 2026 it sold a slot every 20 minutes across the same two windows, from 10:00 to 12:20 and from 14:00 to 17:00. The windows agree; the gap between slots does not.

XLine's FAQ asks you to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your reservation to check in, and says the whole experience lasts about 60 minutes from registration at the booth to the end of the ride. Our own booking voucher asks for 30 minutes before and our listing says 30 minutes in all, so plan on the longer arrival and the longer visit.

Getting there, and parking

The booth is at Dubai Marina Mall. XLine's page calls the spot "L2 parking", its FAQ calls it "Level P2", and our own listing says Level P, so follow the directions on your voucher and ask at the mall if the signs differ. Our Dubai Marina guide covers the tram, the metro and the water taxi.

XLine's page lists parking with the adult ticket and not with the young adventurer one. Our own listing says parking fees are not included, so ask at the booth before you assume it is free.

Refunds, rebooking and payment

XLine says tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. You can rebook if the request comes more than 48 hours ahead and subject to availability, or if weather stops the zipline operating. Refunds are given for operational reasons that stop the ride or an indefinite closure, and not to guests who arrive more than 15 minutes after their slot or who change within 48 hours.

Online bookings take a debit or credit card; at the booth you can pay by card or cash in AED. You can buy on the day, subject to availability, but XLine highly recommends booking ahead.

Xline Dubai Marina

XLine Dubai Marina is the longest urban zipline in the world, and the numbers only tell half of it: you launch from a tower 170 metres up and descend a full kilometre at speeds approaching 80 km/h, flying head-first and face-down directly over the Marina canal with the towers rising on either side of you. This is not a scenic cable ride - the position and the speed make it a genuine adrenaline experience, and the view is the Marina from an angle nobody else gets. Safety gear and a full briefing are provided, and the launch team runs every rider through the harness and the flying position before release. You can go solo or tandem alongside someone else. The booking runs about thirty minutes including check-in and briefing; the flight itself is over in roughly a minute.
