Dubai Frame tickets: what you pay, and what you get for it

5 min read

The Dubai Frame charges AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children aged 3 to 12 on its own site, and opens from 08:00 to 21:00 every day of the year. There is only one real decision: the standard ticket or the VIP one, and what time you go up. This guide sets out both, what the ticket actually covers, and the rules the Frame publishes for the day you arrive.

What the ticket covers

A visit runs in three parts. The Old Dubai gallery is a multimedia exhibition on the city's change from a fishing village to a modern metropolis. The lift then carries you 48 floors in 75 seconds to the Sky deck, where the views run north over old Dubai and south over the new city, across a luminous glass walkway. You come down through the Future Dubai gallery, with its interactive screens.

The structure itself is 150 metres high and 95 metres wide. Its own page also lists a garden, a souvenir shop and coffee served on the bridge. If you are weighing it against Burj Khalifa's deck or the others, our Dubai observation decks guide compares them on price and height.

What it costs, and what the price does not say

The Frame's own page prices adults at AED 50 and children aged 3 to 12 at AED 20, with infants under 3 and people of determination with 2 companions free. Those are the only categories it has: there is no student, senior or resident rate on either of its channels.

The AED 50 is before tax. Its own ticket channel adds 5% VAT in the cart, so one adult ticket is AED 52.50 and the VIP ticket is AED 315. A single transaction is capped at 15 tickets.

When to go

The Frame is open all year round, weekends and public holidays included, from 08:00 to 21:00, and its page warns that timings may vary during Ramadan and holidays. The channel sells one slot a day covering those hours, so a ticket does not tie you to an entry time.

The Frame's own page puts the sunset from the top of the bridge first among the things to come for, which is the case for a late-afternoon visit. It recommends buying ahead, especially at weekends, and arriving 10 to 15 minutes before your admission time.

Getting there

The Dubai Frame is in Zabeel Park, gate 4, bordered by Sheikh Rashid Road to the north, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road to the north-west and Sheikh Zayed Road to the south. The nearest station is Al Jafiliya, and the Frame's call centre answers on 800900 around the clock. Of the three tickets, only the VIP one comes with a parking spot.

The rules at the door

A ticket is valid for one day, and each e-ticket admits one person: printing the same booking reference twice does not get two people in. Tickets are sold at the main park entrance, on the Frame's website and in its app, and a barcode follows by email. No food or drink is allowed inside; personal handbags and purses are fine, but shopping bags, sports bags and backpacks go to the baggage room.

The Frame also asks for respectful clothing, allows no pets and no smoking, and keeps large bags and strollers at the GATE 4 counter. Children under 12 must be with an adult at all times, and nobody should sit or be placed on the railing.

Dubai Frame Entrance Ticket

The Dubai Frame is the new addition to the marvellous architecture the city boasts of. Consisting of two vertical towers of 150 meters in height connected by a 100-square-meter bridge, the Dubai Frame is a highlight of the Dubai skyline. A tour of the Dubai Frame is a must if you do not have much time for sightseeing and also if you want to see the entire city at once.
