The attraction of Himeji castle is its pure white walls, which are called the most beautiful castle in Japan. Also, the inside of the castle still has the equipment used for warfare 400 years ago, when the samurai lived there. This is the main street connecting Himeji Station to Himeji Castle. As you walk along this exciting boulevard, the figure of the castle drawing closer and larger will surely make you look forward to exploring the castle even more!

Himeji Castle
Himeji Castle, a world-famous castle, is both beautiful and strong in appearance, and was the first historical building in Japan to be registered as a World Heritage Site. Its graceful appearance, like that of a heron spreading its wings, has earned it the nickname of “White Heron Castle”. Stepping inside, you can still experience the period style of architecture, which is still impressive to visitors after more than 400 years.

Mt.Shosha Ropeway
Welcome to Shoshazan. In the old days, people used to walk up the steep path to Engyo-ji Temple. But for us modern people, the ropeway is a relief. The view of the city of Himeji from the gondola is exceptional.

It is a mountain temple where you can enjoy a unique landscape that combines traditional Buddhist architecture and mountain nature.You will surely be impressed by the sheer size of this structure, built in the middle of the mountains in the days when there were no cars or electricity!
