Musandam - Dibba Tour

The Musandam peninsula is where the Hajar mountains meet the sea and drop straight into it, carving the inlets that give this coast its nickname - the Norway of Arabia. This day trip reaches it from Dubai via Dibba, on the Fujairah-Oman border, with sharing transfers from fixed points in Deira and Bur Dubai and a drive of around two and a half hours each way. At the harbour you board a traditional wooden dhow laid with cushions and shaded decks for a five-to-six-hour cruise into the fjords, past cliffs that rise sheer out of deep, exceptionally clear water. Dolphins are commonly seen alongside the boat. The dhow anchors in a sheltered bay for swimming and snorkelling with kits and life jackets provided, and a buffet lunch is served on deck with soft drinks, mineral water, tea, coffee and fresh fruit. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a hat; there is shade on board but the sun on the water is strong.
