Flyboarding in Dubai - 30 Minutes

Flyboarding is the closest most people will come to hovering, and thirty minutes is exactly the right amount of it. A jet-propelled board, fed by a hose from a watercraft below, lifts you up to around six metres above the water. Once you find your balance - which usually takes a few minutes rather than the whole session - you can hold a hover, turn on the spot, and dive into the water like a dolphin on purpose rather than by accident. A certified instructor controls the throttle throughout and coaches you from the water, so the learning curve is far shorter than it looks from the beach. Life jacket, helmet and all safety equipment are provided, no previous experience is needed, and most people are flying inside their first ten minutes. Allow about ninety minutes in total for the briefing, kitting up and your time on the water.
