During this private excursion for cruise passengers, you will gain an overview of the city of Granada and enjoy an extensive tour of the interior of the Alhambra as you comfortably travel the route from the port of Cadiz to the Granada.
Our private driver will pick you up at the Malaga Cruise Port terminal. Upon arriving in Granada, the private driver will drop you off at the entrance of the Alhambra, where our expert guide will be waiting to begin the monument tour. Nestled in the lovely hills of Granada, the Alhambra was originally a fortress but later transformed into a palace. It captivated the Emirs, who chose it as their royal home, marking the end of Muslim rule by the Nasrid Dynasty before the Catholic Monarchs took over in 1492. The fight to keep it was clear; its stunning design earned it UNESCO's World Heritage status and inspired many songs, tales, and poems.During Alhambra guided tour we will explor this fascinating history, unveiling stories of architecture, rulers, intense power struggles, and touching love tales. As an optional choice, you can extend the visit by 2 more hours and after visiting the Alhambra our guide will accompany you to the Albaicín neighborhood, arguably one of the most magical districts in the city, and will take you on a guided walking tour. The special buildings, pretty hills, and winding streets give a magical feeling, especially in the Albaicin, where lovely walks show beautiful views.In Granada, you'll feel a strong attraction that has drawn poets, writers, and musicians for many years. In here you will have some free time to enjoy a tapa at one of the bars recommended by the guide before the driver picks you up to take you back to the ship in Malaga.
