Forget about the hassle of renting a car but if you find yourself in need of transportation from Madrid to Bilbao, we offer you our transfer/excursion service, which includes a delightful stop in the Castilian city of Burgos along the way.
Our driver will pick you up at the agreed time from your hotel or apartment to begin this transfer from Madrid to Bilbao.
We provide a transfer service to your next destination, including luggage, in this case, Bilbao, and we also add a stop of about 2 and a half hours in Burgos so you can visit this city anchored in the medieval era. You'll have enough time to see its majestic Gothic cathedral, learn more about El Cid - who is said to have been born in this city - and try some of the delicious dishes Burgos has to offer. Most visitors only get to see this area from the window of a train or plane. Our desire is to introduce you to the region with an expert driver who knows the area and can take you to all of our favorite places.
After the stop in the Castilian city of Burgos, we will continue our journey to another region, the Basque Country, where Bilbao is the capital of one of its three provinces. There, our driver will drop you off at your hotel/apartment or at a location of your choice.

Summary of our itinerary
Please see a summary of the areas we covered during this transfer- Please understand that this is very flexible and the driver may adapt the itinerary based on your needs or preferences. You will start with a pickup at your hotel in Madrid. The journey to Bilbao is 248 miles, and it would take approximately 4 hours to get there. However, we will be making a stop halfway in Burgos to walk around the city and grab a bite to eat, which will extend the trip to approximately 7 hours. Your driver will head back to Madrid after the service.

Time for a stop at this fabulous city. This will break the trip and add a fantastic opportunity to walk around the city center and grab a bite. Your driver can recommend a couple places for that. Burgos, located in northern Spain, is renowned for its majestic Gothic cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, adorned with intricate spires and sculptures. The city also holds significant historical importance as the birthplace of El Cid, the legendary medieval knight and hero of Spanish literature. Visitors can explore the fascinating Museum of the Burgos Cathedral, which houses relics and artifacts related to the city's rich religious and cultural heritage. Strolling through the charming streets of Burgos, one can feel transported back in time, surrounded by medieval architecture and remnants of its illustrious past. Don't miss the chance to savor the local cuisine, including the famous "morcilla de Burgos" (Burgos black pudding), while immersing yourself in the timeless beauty and history of this captivating city.
