Our walking tour takes us to visit the Florentine Oltrarno, the district of workshops and antique shops where many residents of Florence still live. At sunset the typical restaurants and wineshops are full of tourists and Florentines.
Our expert tour guide will make us feel the atmosphere of the area, while you enjoy glasses of Chianti wine with special crostini prepared for us by a famous local wine shop.
Then we cross the river backwards into the area of the Piazza Signoria and Piazza Duomo and we will stop to fill our glasses once more!

The Oltrarno district of Florence is one of the most charming and authentic areas of the city, located on the left bank of the Arno River. Characterized by narrow streets and quiet squares, Oltrarno preserves the traditional Florentine atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist center. The area is home to numerous craft workshops, where works in wrought iron, ceramics, and textiles are still made today. The district is also famous for its historic palaces, including Palazzo Pitti, and Piazza Santo Spirito, a lively and vibrant place often hosting local markets and events. Oltrarno is also a landmark for art, with Santa Maria del Carmine Church and the renowned Brancacci Chapel, decorated with frescoes by Masaccio. As you cross the beautiful Ponte Vecchio at night, you will see how spectacular the city is in the dark. Piazza della Signoria, the beating heart of Florence, is a place full of history and beauty. Upon entering the square, one is struck by the grandeur of the Palazzo Vecchio, a symbol of the city's political power. In the center of the square stands the statue of Michelangelo's David, a replica of the original, placed here as a symbol of freedom and strength. Nearby, there are other artistic wonders, such as the Fountain of Neptune and the loggia of the Loggia dei Lanzi, which houses famous sculptures like Perseus by Benvenuto Cellini. Walking through this square means immersing oneself in Florence's glorious past, full of art, politics, and culture.
