Abu Dhabi rewards a day of your Dubai holiday. This tour collects you from your hotel in the morning, drives the 90 minutes down the coast, and gives you the capital's landmarks with a guide who can explain what you are looking at.

The day is built around the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - 82 domes, more than 1,000 columns and the world's largest hand-knotted carpet - followed by a drive along the Corniche with time for photographs, a pass by Ferrari World and Saadiyat Island, a stop at the dates market, and a lunch break at Marina Mall.

Choose the ending you want when you book. The Qasr Al Watan option adds the presidential palace, its Great Hall and House of Knowledge, plus Qasr Al Hosn and the House of Artisans. The Louvre Abu Dhabi option takes you under Jean Nouvel's floating dome instead, for a collection that runs from prehistory to the present. Both options are available with a seat on a shared coach or as a private vehicle with driver.

برنامج الرحلة

    Pick-up in central Dubai, 8.30am

    Collection from your hotel or residence in central Dubai, then ninety minutes down the coast road to the capital. Drop-off is back at the same address around 7.30pm; timings can move by fifteen or twenty minutes.

    Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

    The day is built around this: 82 domes, more than a thousand columns, and the largest hand-knotted carpet in the world. Your guide takes you through it. Dress modestly - shoulders and knees covered for everyone, and a headscarf for women.

    The Corniche, Yas Island and Saadiyat by road

    A drive along the Corniche with a stop for photographs, then past Ferrari World on Yas Island and across to Saadiyat. These are seen from the coach rather than visited - admission to Ferrari World is not included.

    The dates market, then lunch at Marina Mall

    A stop at the dates market, where the varieties are stacked by grade and the traders will let you taste before you buy. Then a break at Marina Mall for lunch, which you pay for yourself.

    Option one: Qasr Al Watan, Qasr Al Hosn and the House of Artisans

    The presidential palace, still in use for state business, with its Great Hall and the House of Knowledge. Then Qasr Al Hosn, the oldest stone building in Abu Dhabi, and the House of Artisans next to it. Choose this ending, or the Louvre, when you book.

    Option two: Louvre Abu Dhabi

    Jean Nouvel's floating dome on Saadiyat Island, and a collection that runs from prehistory to the present arranged by period rather than by nation. Note that this option runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only.

    Back in Dubai around 7.30pm

    The drive back up the coast, and drop-off at the address you were collected from. Eleven hours door to door, most of the capital's landmarks, and one guide who can tell you what you have been looking at.
