The Nieuwe Land Erfgoedcentrum, Bataavialand Museum in Lelystad, tells the tale of the Zuiderzee project, the biggest land reclamation undertaking in history. Flevoland's prehistory, the struggle against water, and the region's past and future are all covered in the permanent exhibition. Visitors are drawn closer to the area's past by hearing the tales of its residents. Three kid-friendly exhibits are available at the museum.
