Its roots trace back to the Muslim rule over the Iberian Peninsula, known as Qunka. In 1177, Christian King Alfonso VIII seized the city, establishing it as a prominent capital within the Castilla La Mancha region.

You will start with a pick up at your hotel in Madrid, 2 hours drive to Cuenca (Madrid is 105 miles away from this town), photo stop at the windmills of La Mancha, 2 hours walking guided tour in Cuenca, free time for lunch (the guide will give you the best recommendations on where to enjoy authentic La Mancha cuisine in the city), 30 min drive to The Ciudad Encantada (It´s is 20 miles away from Cuenca), 2 hours to explore the Enchanted City. Return to Madrid and be dropped off at your hotel.
