Samaria follows the ancient riverbed of Taras, cutting through cliffs that rise hundreds of meters overhead. Along the way, abandoned villages, war-time caves, and the rare kri-kri goats remind you that this landscape has always tested those who pass through it. The reward comes late: the Libyan Sea, a swim at Agia Roumeli, and the sense that you’ve earned your rest.
