Just a short distance from Barcelona, Montserrat, known as the "serrated mountain," boasts unique rock formations shaped over thousands of years. Hosting a monastery and basilica, it's a key spot for Catalan pilgrims.

Our guide will pick you up in Barcelona, and with her, the adventure begins. First, we will take the train that connects the city of Barcelona with the lower part of Montserrat. But the basilica is at the top of the mountain, so get ready to climb! The day trip to Montserrat by train includes a scenic rackrailway ride at 2,400 feet, dating back to 1025, a visit to the monastery and basilica, and the iconic Black Virgin. Whether for religious pilgrimage or picturesque views, this Montserrat trip, featuring a unique train ride, offers a delightful break.

A knowledgeable guide accompanies you throughout, making your experience enjoyable and informative.

Montserrat comprises the Sanctuary of the Virgin Mary of Montserrat and the Benedictine monastery, which, for almost 1,000 years, has been at the service of pilgrims from all over the world, who come to worship the Black Madonna, a Romanesque sculpture dating from the late 12th century featuring delicately carved features.
