Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1996 and named the best European destination in 2014, this second-largest Portuguese city boasts a rich history, from the Celts to the Roman Empire and Moorish occupation. Strategically positioned along the River Douro. Porto's enigmatic charm beckons visitors to delve deeper into its captivating secrets.
There's no doubt about its fame, thanks to the rich Port wines developed in the nearby breathtaking Douro Valley region. However, we believe there's much more to discover, and our Porto Walking Tour aims to showcase the highlights. We'll kick off our tour in the old historic center, exploring neighborhoods featuring historic monuments like the Porto Sé Cathedral, Clerigos Church and Tower, its Jewish quarter Bolsa Palace, Riberira district or the San Bento Train Station.
The narrow winding streets, steeped in history, architecture, and design, are easy to get lost in. But fear not, our knowledgeable guide will provide explanations and perspectives on each neighborhood ("barrio") we visit. We'll take you to famous streets and plazas and introduce you to local spots where you can sample during your free time delicious Porto cuisine, including the famous "tripas."
From sacred traditions to world-famous Port wine production and unique crafts, to the modern and trendy side of Porto, this city has something for everyone. Don't miss out!

Lello Bookstore
The door of this bookstore will be our meeting point to start the walking tour, but we won't go inside as it requires advance booking. If you'd like to visit it independently, we suggest purchasing tickets well in advance, preferably early in the morning when there are fewer people. We'll provide the link to their website in case you wish to visit it in your free time. (Livraria Lello) The Lello Bookstore in Porto, Portugal, is renowned for its stunning neo-Gothic architecture, adorned with intricate wooden carvings and a magnificent staircase. It has attracted visitors worldwide, including J.K. Rowling, who drew inspiration for Hogwarts' library from its enchanting ambiance. As one of the oldest bookstores in Portugal, it continues to be a cultural landmark and a must-visit destination for book lovers and architectural enthusiasts alike.

Carmo Church
The Igreja do Carmo in Porto is a striking example of Baroque architecture, characterized by its ornate façade adorned with intricate carvings and statues. Connected to the Carmo Church is the Carmelitas Church by a unique house facade painted in blue and white tiles, known as the "House of the Famosa." Clerigos Church and Tower
