About this experience
La Perle is Dubai's resident stage show, performed in a purpose-built theatre at Al Habtoor City by a company drawn from acrobats, divers, aerialists and stunt performers. The stage is the point: it floods with water in a matter of moments and drains just as fast, so a scene can move from dry ground to a deep pool between one sequence and the next. Performers dive into it from height, motorcycles run across it, and the aerial rigging carries the action up into the roof space above the audience. Seating wraps around the stage on three sides, so wherever you sit you are close to it - there is no bad angle and no back of the room. The show runs around 90 minutes, tells its story through movement and effects rather than dialogue, and needs no Arabic or English to follow. It suits families, couples and anyone looking for an evening out that is not another buffet or another mall. Arrive early enough to be seated before the doors close, as latecomers are held until a break in the action.

Take your seat in the purpose-built aqua theatre at Al Habtoor City on Sheikh Zayed Road. The stage floods with around 2.7 million litres of water and drains again within seconds, so the set shifts from dry to wet in front of you. Aerialists, divers and motorcyclists perform above and into the water, with performers dropping from the roof of the theatre. The show runs about ninety minutes with no interval.
