About this experience
People of all ages can do kayaking on Dubai beaches. It is very easy and can be done by kids as well. In kayaking, the rider will be using a double-bladed paddle to float the kayaks in the sea.
Kayaking can be done singly or in pairs or small groups. But, whatever type of kayak you are in, you will be able to socialize in your group kayak lesson.
Your kayak teacher will teach you to navigate the waters in your kayak, using the weight of your body and a paddle. Kayaks are streamlined, so you can race along pretty quickly if you want to. A kayak instructor will also teach you essential things about safety on the water, such as how to get your kayak up the right way again if it threatens to capsize.

Guided kayaking session in Dubai
Meet the team at the launch point, collect your buoyancy aid and paddle and take the safety briefing from a professional instructor. The kayaks are stable sit-on-top boats that suit complete beginners. You then paddle out along calm inshore water with the instructor staying with the group, covering real distance at an easy pace. The session runs a full hour on the water.

Know before you go
- Kayaking is a physical activity on open water. You get in and out of the kayak from the beach, so it is not suitable for wheelchair users. You should be comfortable in and around the water.
- You will get wet. Wear swimwear with a light cover-up, and bring a change of clothes, a towel and a dry bag for anything you cannot risk getting soaked.
- The sun on the water is strong even in winter - reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses with a strap and a hat you can secure are worth bringing.
- Buoyancy aids are provided and must be worn throughout the session.
- Sessions may be delayed or rescheduled in strong wind or rough water.
- Not recommended for people with back problems.
- Not recommended for pregnant travellers.
