From Zanzibar : Saadani Day Safari by boat

Departing by boat from Zanzibar at 06.30 AM, this one-day adventure combines the thrill of the ocean with the excitement of a bush safari. Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, and even hippos – all just steps from the beach. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a hot bush lunch before returning to Zanzibar in the late afternoon.

Early morning, you will depart from Zanzibar by boat across the Indian Ocean to the mainland.

You will be picked up early in the morning at the hotel you are staying for a transfer to the port. Following this, your boat will depart from Zanzibar to Saadani National Park to begin your shared safari game drive.

Upon arrival, your guide will welcome you at the park entrance, and the game drive begins straight away. Get ready to explore Saadani’s unique mix of beach and bush as your driver takes you through the wild landscapes in search of wildlife.

During the game drive you will explore the wildlife and environment of Tanzania. Your driver guides have a lot of experience with the area and the wildlife and love to tell you everything about it. With a view of the azure waves, witness elephants, giraffes, and lions in their natural habitat, along with zebras, wildebeests, playful baboons, and numerous buffalos and hippos.

Experience a bush lunch in the afternoon. Around midday, you’ll stop to enjoy a hot lunch in the heart of the park, surrounded by nature.

After lunch, continue your game drive and capture the final sights of this rare coastal wilderness. In the late afternoon, the boat will take you back to Zanzibar around 05.30 PM, where your day ends full of unforgettable impressions from Tanzania’s hidden gem. Once you arrive back in Zanzibar, enjoy a transfer back to your hotel.
