Het Jonge Schaap Windmill
In Zaandam, the original 1680 sawmill known as "Het Jonge Schaap" was destroyed in 1942. Based on the original construction designs that date back hundreds of years, a copy was constructed on the Zaanse Schans between 2005 and 2007. Modern computer techniques and minute measurements from 1942 were also used. One of the project's goals was to protect millwrighting as a craft for upcoming generations.
