Itinerary

  1. 1

    Pick up from hotel

Your guide and driver pick you up at your hotel at 8 AM for a 1.5-hour drive through Saigon’s northern suburbs and the countryside of Binh Duong (now part of the greater Ho Chi Minh City).

  2. 2

    Explore Thu Dau Mot Market

Experience local life at one of the province’s busiest markets. Colorful fruits, fragrant spices, handmade snacks, and friendly vendors create a lively atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to observe daily rhythms and taste small local treats.

  3. 3

    Thien Hau Temple

Dedicated to the Goddess Thien Hau, protector of journeys and sailors, this beautifully decorated temple is a spiritual anchor for the local Chinese-Vietnamese community. Admire intricate mosaics, carvings, and incense coils while learning about local religious practices.

  4. 4

    Visit Hoi Khanh Pagoda

Hoi Khanh Pagoda is one of the region’s most historic and spiritually significant temples. Founded in the mid-18th century, the pagoda is known for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful ancient architecture, and its impressive reclining Buddha statue—one of the largest in Vietnam. A visit here offers a quiet moment of reflection and a glimpse into the rich Buddhist heritage of southern Vietnam.

  5. 5

    Lunch break

Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local specialties from Binh Duong.

  6. 6

    Visit A Century-Old Pottery Tradition

End the cultural journey at a traditional pottery kiln that has preserved Binh Duong’s craft for over a century. Watch artisans shape, fire, and glaze iconic southern-style jars (lu). Guests may have the chance to interact with the artisans and learn about traditional kiln techniques. Note on Authenticity: As this is a genuine, working kiln rather than a tourist attraction, access to the workshop floor is subject to the artisans' production schedule. Please note that the kiln is typically quiet on weekends and public holidays. Should the artisans be away during your visit, we will transition to an equally captivating alternative site that showcases the rich craft heritage of the region.

  7. 7

    Visit Phu Loi Prison

Visit Phu Loi Prison, a historic site from the 1950s–60s. Walk through surviving blocks and cells while your guide shares stories of the harsh conditions endured by prisoners and the resilience of those who lived through this period.

  8. 8

    Drive Back to Saigon

Relax in the comfortable vehicle on the return trip to the city, arriving in the late afternoon.
