About this experience
Florence is full of esoteric symbols, magic sign that come from the past centuries, simbols that talk about people who believed in magic and communicated the one with the other through secret signs: esotericism, magic, alchemy.
The facades of Santa Croce and Santa Maria Novella will have their simbols revealed, necromancy stories near the Basilica Santa Croce, the palindrome of the Baptistery of Florence.
Here will be Pazzino dei Pazzi and the three flint shards from the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, which on Easter day light up the traditional Explosion of the Cart in Florence.
We will analise the arsenic poisoning and the death of the intellectual Pico della Mirandola in 1494, a very close friend of Lorenzo the Magnificent, who was very fashinated by the kabbalah.
We will also meet Friar Girolamo Savonarola, the strictly religious Dominican hanged and burned at the stake in 1498 in Piazza della Signoria.
And again gark stories of punishements in the Bargello, Templars and Cathars in Florence!
Children rejected by their families because they were said to be born malformed because of the intervention of the evil one!
We will face an esoteric symbol and try to count the bees adorning the equestrian statue of Ferdinand I in Piazza Santissima Annunziata. It will bring luck… at least trying to count them, as they are uncountable!

Among the most significant motifs are emblems that evoke alchemical art, such as the serpent biting its tail, a symbol of eternal return and transformation. These signs, blending with the grandeur of Renaissance art, suggest a connection between medieval religiosity and the secret philosophies that have fascinated alchemists and scholars for centuries. Piazza San Marco, Florence
The Church of San Salvi (also known as Chiesa della Dominica) in Florence is a place of great historical and cultural value, not only for its architecture but also for the intellectual figures buried there. Among them are Giovanni Pico della Mirandola and Agnolo Poliziano, two of the most important thinkers of the Renaissance and members of Lorenzo de’ Medici’s circle. Both were deeply interested in Kabbalah and esoteric traditions, which often influenced their philosophical and theological thought. The tombs of Pico della Mirandola and Poliziano, located inside the church, are symbols of a historical period in which art, philosophy, and occult sciences intertwined. The inscriptions and funerary monuments that commemorate them are filled with alchemical and Kabbalistic symbolism, reflecting the influence of Kabbalah on their worldview. The church, therefore, is not just a place of worship but also an important landmark for those interested in Renaissance philosophy and the mystical traditions that shaped the thought of the time.

Piazza Santa Croce, Florence
The Basilica of Santa Croce is home to some fascinating symbols, particularly on its facade, where one can explore a range of intriguing motifs that span from Alpha to Omega. These symbols, deeply rooted in Christian and esoteric traditions, are thought to represent the beginning and the end of existence, encapsulating the eternal cycle of life, death, and spiritual transformation. On the grand facade, one might notice the prominent presence of the Alpha and Omega symbols—representing Christ as the beginning and end of all things. These, along with other geometric patterns and allegorical elements, hint at deeper meanings tied to both Christian theology and the mystical currents of the Renaissance, including alchemical traditions. As you observe the facade, it becomes clear that every detail is a part of a larger philosophical narrative, blending the sacred with the arcane, and creating an awe-inspiring testament to the complexity of human understanding and spiritual pursuit.

These lions, skillfully sculpted, are among the most well-known symbols of Florence, often associated with its tradition of independence and power. Piazza della Signoria is also the place where, in 1498, Fra Girolamo Savonarola was hanged and then burned at the stake. His martyrdom marks a dark moment in the history of Florence, tied to the struggle between religious fervor and political power.
