About this experience

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Marsa Alam and transferred to our exclusive, newly established Carnellia meeting point. From there, you will embark on a 2.5-hour journey into the heart of the Eastern Desert. Your adventure begins with a quad bike ride, covering approximately 25-30 kilometers through the stunning mountain landscapes en route to a traditional Bedouin village. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to learn about Bedouin culture, including their homes, cuisine, education, and religious practices. You will also be invited to enjoy authentic Bedouin tea and experience a water pipe. The excursion includes a 10-15 minute camel ride and a visit to a remarkable Acacia tree thriving in the desert. On your return, you will take a different route back to the quad runner station, offering new perspectives and breathtaking views of the desert. At the conclusion of your adventure, you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel.

What to expect
The first step of your journey will be a pickup from your Marsa Alam hotel by your guide. Thereafter, they'll take you to the Sheikh Malek meeting place, which is around 25 kilometers north of the Marsa Alam airport. When you get there, they'll give you a quad runner and give you a driving test before sending you off on a 22-kilometer trip across the Eastern Desert's highlands. On your way to meet a Bedouin family, you'll make a few pit stops to gain insight into their culture (such as houses, food, education, religion, etc.). After riding your motorcycle back to the quad runner station, you can have some Bedouin tea, ride a camel, and smoke a water pipe. In the end, you'll be taken back to your Marsa Alam hotel.
