Take a fully guided adventure to the la Mancha region with our Don Quixote Tour. Have you ever fantasized of following in the steps of Don Quixote along his monumental journey with Sancho Panza to fight monsters in the form of Windmills?

Your driver guide will conveniently pick you up from your hotel, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Our first adventure will take us to Uclés, in the heart of La Mancha.Once in there, we'll explore an incredible monastery from the region, the headquarters of the Knights of Saint James—a military order Cervantes belonged to—. If desired, you can also include a visit inside at check out.

And because it won't all be history, we'll make two strategic stops to learn more about the products that Don Quixote and his squire Sancho Panza must have eaten in these lands.First, at a traditional cheese factory where, in addition to witnessing the process of crafting signature Manchego cheeses, we'll have the opportunity to taste them and purchase whichever one you fancy among all the available options. The second stop will be for a proper meal at an old Manchegan inn, where the knights of the 16th century used to dine.

For the afternoon, we'll save the final adventures: admiring the extraordinarily well-preserved Belmonte Castle and engaging with the windmills of Mota del Cuervo. The visit to one of those windmills is included in this day trip. Here, we´ll discover that they weren't giants Don Quixote fought against but were used to grind grains, especially wheat, through the power of the wind.

    Monastery of Uclés

It is built on the old convent of the Order of Santiago. The construction of the Monastery Convent of Santiago began in the 16th century. The complex comprises the church, monastic building, and remnants of the old fortress. It is situated on an impressive natural platform, spanning a square kilometer surrounded by walls, towers, buttresses, and bastions.

Cheese dairy in La Mancha is renowned for its production of high-quality artisanal cheeses, particularly the famed Manchego cheese. Located in the heart of La Mancha, this dairy is celebrated for its traditional methods and dedication to crafting authentic and flavorful cheeses. Using premium local milk, this factory employs age-old techniques to create a range of Manchego cheeses, showcasing the region's rich culinary heritage.

  4. 4

    Traditional meal in a "Venta".

"Ventas" in the context of La Mancha typically refers to roadside inns or taverns that historically served as rest stops for travelers and merchants crossing the region. These establishments were fundamental in the past, not just as places to rest but also as hubs for social interaction and commerce. While many ventas have evolved or disappeared over time, some still exist, serving as cultural landmarks that preserve the historical essence of La Mancha's traditional hospitality and trade along its routes.

  5. 5

    Castle of Belmonte

Belmonte Castle, an emblematic medieval fortress in Spain, boasts a strikingly well-preserved structure dating back to the 15th century. Surrounded by scenic landscapes, this formidable castle showcases Gothic-Mudejar architecture and provides a window into its storied historical heritage.

    Windmills of Mota del Cuervo

On a small hill, at the foot of which lies the town of Mota del Cuervo, stand seven watchful windmills. Notable for their harmony and beauty, this complex was named 'Balcón de La Mancha' for its immense horizon visible from the site in 1967. Immortalized by Miguel de Cervantes in his masterful work 'Don Quixote of La Mancha,' these windmills are emblematic of the flatlands of La Mancha.
