Have you ever fantasized about unlocking the secrets of the ultimate Spanish pairing—artisan cheese and fine wine—while tracing the footsteps of Spanish royalty? Our full day trip offers a deep dive into the rich slow-food tradition of Valladolid.

Your driver guide will conveniently pick you up from your hotel in Madrid, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Our first cultural immersion will take us to Medina del Campo, the ancient seat of royal power. Once there, we will stand before the magnificent Castle of La Mota, exploring its courtyard and hearing the dramatic legends of Queen Isabella and Juana the Mad, setting a powerful historical stage for our day.

Our culinary journey begins immediately afterward with two strategic stops dedicated to authentic, Slow Food products. First, at a traditional artisan cheese factory, we honor the local heritage by witnessing the unhurried process of crafting signature sheep's milk cheese. Here, you'll engage in a hands-on workshop, tasting different aging varieties and having the opportunity to purchase your favorite directly from the source.

The second stop will be for a proper traditional Castilian lunch at a renowned local establishment, where the emphasis is on local, slow-cooked regional dishes. Your driver-guide and the restaurant staff will provide personalized recommendations, ensuring a truly authentic gastronomic experience.

For the afternoon, we save the sensory climax: exploring a major D.O. Rueda Winery. The visit includes traversing ancient subterranean cellars, which preserve the mellow tradition of the region. Here, we'll discover the intersection of history, art (with its library and pinacoteca), and winemaking before indulging in a guided tasting of three of their most esteemed wines.

Finally, we'll return to Madrid, allowing you to reflect on the deep flavors and history absorbed throughout this memorable slow-travel day
