Day 2 | Mount Sinai Sunrise – St. Catherine Monastery – Return to Cairo
Begin climbing Mount Sinai (2,285 meters) in the early hours of the morning. The route follows a long mountain path and ends with the famous 700 steps leading to the summit. You will arrive in time to enjoy the spectacular sunrise from the top of Mount Sinai. For those who may find the climb difficult, a camel ride is available for an additional charge for part of the route, up to the area before the final steps. After descending, visit St. Catherine Monastery, one of the most celebrated monuments of Sinai and one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world. Following the visit, enjoy breakfast at the hotel or at a local restaurant in St. Catherine, depending on the final arrangement. After breakfast, begin the drive back to Cairo.
